Do you have what its takes to be an entrepreneur?

Many are saying I am not an entrepreneur, “I don’t know how to sell nor I am afraid to speak to people who are totally stranger to me, I am not good in business, I might loss” But did you ask yourself what makes a person an entrepreneur?

Dictionary defines entrepreneur as a person who has the ability to recognize opportunities of benefit to an enterprise, and the will and capacity to undertake appropriate innovative action while accepting the associated risks.

However, Author and successful entrepreneur Michael Gerber once wrote, “The entrepreneur is our visionary, the creator in each of us. We’re born with that quality and it defines our lives as we respond to what we see, hear, feel, and experience. It is developed, nurtured, and given space to flourish or is squelched, thwarted, without air or stimulation, and dies.”

Here are some of the marks that will make a person admit “I am an entrepreneur”

  1. Are you a kind of person who understood that there is little difference between obstacle and opportunity and are able to turn both to your advantage.
  2. Are you a risk taker, willing to roll the dice with your money or reputation on the line in support of an idea or enterprise? Willingly assume responsibility for the success or failure of a venture and are answerable for all its facets. If you don’t step up and put yourself on the line by taking risks, you may find that you’ll never reap the rewards.
  3. Are you willing to assume risks and defy the odds? Are you willing to stick with it, give it all you’ve got and try again if you fail the first time?
  4. Are you essentially a visualizer and an actualizer… Can you visualize something, and can see exactly how to make it happen?
  5. Do you assumes the risk and is dedicated and committed to the success of whatever you will undertake?
  6. Do you often fail more than you succeed? Remember, the true mark of a winner is the determination to try again, regardless of the cost or the critics. What do you do when the criticizing is over?
  7. Do you partner successfully with others? Success in business is all about partnership. Have you treated other people with respect?
